Meaning Behind LVM ADVNTGE

Part One: Our Personal Guardian Angel

The logo of @lvmadvntge was created as an angel to represent our lost loved ones. An angel is the perfect symbol of a loved one who has passed so that we are reminded that they are here to watch and protect us.

 

Part Two: More Than Just A Brand

The main part of the name/logo is inspired by my mom’s name, Luzviminda.
The letters LVM are derived from the first letter of the first 3 syllables in her name: (L)uz(V)i(M)inda.

I didn’t want the name of the brand to be just her name. I wanted there to be more meaning behind it, which is why LVM stands for Loss V(ersus) Mind.

The second part of the name is ADVNTGE.
ADVNTGE stands for Advantage.

Together, we have LVM ADVNTGE, which leads to the main message of this brand: “Don’t let the LOSS in your life take over your MIND, use it to your ADVNTGE”.

Although @lvmadvntge is a brand, it’s important that everyone knows it’s more than that. We all have gone through some sort of loss in our lives and it’s important that we don’t let it negatively consume our mind and take advantage of us; we must be our own advantage.

 

Part Three: You Are The Advantage

Previously mentioned, ADVNTGE in @lvmadvntge stands for advantage.

The word advantage can be used in many different ways. In most cases, it is used as a negative connotation. When it comes to the case of my mom, she was taken advantage of because of her demeanor, size, and gender.

But, I want to use the word advantage as a positive connotation. After the incident, I made sure that I wouldn’t let this event in my life take advantage of me. I needed to use this to my advantage. I used it as motivation to keep pushing towards what she worked hard for.

I want to use this platform to shed light on the victims of homicide and their families. The colors red and black are used to represent homicide awareness, which is also the reason behind the colors of @lvmadvntge.
