This year of 2020 marks 6 years since my mother passed away, August 31, 2014. She passed after my first week of high school as a senior. Two days after she passed, I had to go to school and I had absolutely no intention of telling anybody, not even my friends. But, eventually I had to let somebody know. I let the school announce that my mom passed away, but I made sure they didn’t announce the cause of her death. Now, some of you may be wondering how she died. My mom was murdered. Yes, it’s such a horrible word and you must be feeling all those weird feelings; which is why I have avoided this topic for the past 6 years of my life.

BUT, so much as happened within the last few years in my life that I needed to do something. I’ve always wanted to honor my mom in some way, but I didn’t know how. A few months ago I came up with @lvmadvntge as an inspiration to those who have lost someone. Losing someone can consume and transform your mind for the worst. I want you all to know that we can use the losses in our life to our advantage, we can’t let it take over our mind.

For those who have lost someone, I would encourage you to join me in my journey because I know this isn’t an easy road. We are in this together. Even if you haven’t lost someone, we all have something that we need to conquer within ourselves. I want you to know that you are the only advantage you need in your life. This is just the beginning of my journey and I’d like all of you to join.
